What is the My Fair London Group?

London has the greatest extremes of wealth and income inequality in the UK.  My Fair London is an autonomous, self-organised group of Londoners promoting awareness of the adverse effects and campaigning to reduce the extreme income an wealth inequalities in London.  We have come together to make our city a fairer, more equal place to live.

Many members of the group were initially inspired by The Spirit Level by Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett, and since we formed in 2009, the evidence that the current gross levels of inequality is bad for everyone keeps on stacking up.

We spread information and debate on inequality and related topics through mailings, a Facebook page and our website, as well as holding regular meetings. We also host presentations from relevant speakers at both a London wide and local level.

My Fair London is affiliated to the Equality Trust www.equalitytrust.org.uk - the national charity formed to build and publicise the evidence of the harm inequality is doing to us, and to campaign for a fairer society.
